How People Perceive You

About Branding:

It never truly matters who you are or what you are able to do until you tell people who you are or show people what you are able to do. Perception is everything, and, most times, unfortunately, you are perceived one way or another based entirely upon the preconceptions of your audience: a bull in a china shop shall in most cases be feared by people to destroy valuables, unless it is discovered to be a sweetheart of a pet, unlikely to charge at a stranger, much less run rampant indoors. And, so, branding is the never-ending act of illustrating for people who you are and what you are able to do, thereby leaving less and less material to assist their preconceptions in flourishing, unless your brand depends more on wild preconceptions than a tailored narrative.
