Everyone's favourite shopping website, Amazon.com, was almost named "Cadabra.com," which was changed because "cadabra" sounds like "cadaver," but an even lesser known fact is Amazon.com was, after, almost named "Relentless.com," but that name sounds too sinister. Interestingly enough, www.relentless.com is still owned by Amazon's founder, Jeff Bezos, and it redirects to www.amazon.com!
